So many of your words would make great quotes I can identify with.

As a former nature camp counselor who spent five summers exploring and playing in the woods for a job, I couldn’t agree more. A couple of us still go the same area, without kids, just to play :). So good for the soul.

this reminds me of the pandemic trend of painting rocks and leaving them everywhere! Trail magic. It's real, because it truly does have lasting effects. A reminder of our common humanity, that doesn't have to take itself so seriously all the time. One of my favorite signs at a race, which are typically humorous and sometimes snarky, often clever, the design of which is to make you smile.... was at a road marathon, a 5 year old boy, looking quite bored, with a sign that said:

"Worst Parade. Ever."

I laughed for 6 miles. And I still remember it today.

Love it Jenn! (where do you store a costume that size?!?)

I saw a spectator holding a sign at the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon that said "You think running is tough? I've had to hold this sign for hours."

It was so silly and goofy - it lifted my mood for miles.

It's the little things.
